Jonathon Christy has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of Brandi Bradley

Jonathon Christy has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of Brandi Bradley

An Indiana man has been charged in connection with the disappearance of a woman who reportedly warned people about his alleged violent behavior in TikTok videos before going missing.

Brandi Bradley, 44, was reported missing on Feb. 11, the Kokomo Police Department said in a statement this week. Bradley last had contact with her family on Jan. 19, police said.

Authorities arrested Jonathon Christy, 39, on Tuesday and charged him with murder in connection with Bradley’s disappearance, according to the statement.

Police said they arrested him after they were tipped off about “information” that brought them to a remote location for investigation.

Bradley, who had an active presence on TikTok, alleged on the platform that she had been abused by Christy, who lived with her, per court documents, WTHR reported.

In a video posted on social media prior to her disappearance, she claimed that if something ominous were to happen to her, Christy would be responsible, per court documents, WTHR reported.

“I’ve been choked out five times, unconsciousness, and TikTok needs to know,” she claimed in a video snippet shared by WTHR.

“Help me!” she said as the video ends.

Her daughter has alleged the man referenced in the video is Christy, WTHR reported.

In one video, Bradley said, “If I end up dead and my dismembered body is found all over Kokomo, it was Jonathon Christy,” according to court documents reviewed by WTHR.

The two videos were not available on her TikTok channel when PEOPLE searched on Friday.

In another video on her TikTok posted in December, she alleged her “bedroom door has been kicked in” and her electric heater had been taken from her.

“Do you have somebody threatening to murder you?” she asked her followers.

Kokomo police declined to comment on Friday when asked about the videos.

Police arrested Christy after people came forward alleging Christy had asked to use their burn piles. People also alleged that Christy spray painted his truck the day Bradley disappeared, according to court documents, WTHR reported.

Authorities recovered human bones, a necklace tarp and a belt among other melted items in a dumpster in Kempton, Ind., where Christy allegedly said he threw away burnt items belonging to his ex-wife, who died in July, according to the court documents. Police have not confirmed the bones belong to Bradley, FOX 59 reports.

The investigation remains ongoing, police say.

Bradley has entered a plea of not guilty, online court records show. He has retained an attorney but no further information was available about the attorney in the court records.
