Mother Alle-Gedly Beat 3-Month-Old To D*Eath, Blamed 3-Year-Old, Claimed She “Was Jealous”

Alisha Parker, 28, is accused of causing the death of her three-month-old child and falsely implicating her 3-year-old daughter, claiming jealousy. Police charged Parker with criminal homicide and child endangerment.

EMERGENCY CALL: UNRESPONSIVE INFANT

Around 1:57 a.m. on January 7, 2024, Duquesne Police responded to an unresponsive infant at a Hemlock Avenue home. First responders performed CPR on the male infant during transport to the local hospital.

While paramedics worked to save the infant, police spoke to his mother, Alisha Parker. She blamed her toddler daughter for the newborn's injuries and urged police to investigate her.

“If anything unusual happened, my 3-year-old did it, and you need to address that,” she told officers. “She’s the last person to see him alive, and she’s been exhibiting jealousy—evaluate that girl,” she continued.

Alisha insisted that if her daughter harmed the newborn, consequences were necessary.

PARKER, CHILDREN LIVING WITH COUSIN

Parker, along with her two children, resided with her cousin and the cousin’s 18-month-old child. They had recently moved into the residence due to Parker's challenging circumstances.

Around 5 p.m. that evening, Parker’s cousin left her toddler with Parker to go to work. The cousin called multiple times throughout the night, and each time, Parker affirmed the children's well-being. During a call at around 11:20 p.m., the cousin heard the three-month-old crying in the background.

COUSIN DISCOVERS UNRESPONSIVE NEWBORN

Returning home around 1:40 a.m., the cousin sensed something was wrong after observing Parker's behavior, including vomiting. While checking on Parker’s children, she found the newborn “blue and stiff” between his sister and an A/C unit.

Alisha suggested her daughter's involvement, stating, “The infant was smiling before he went to bed, and that’s why I feel like that little girl had something to do with it.”

AUTOPSY LEADS TO ARREST

An autopsy revealed the infant's injuries were “inflicted by an adult” rather than a child's actions.

With this information, police arrested Alisha Parker, charging her with her infant son’s murder. She is currently held in jail without bond, awaiting arraignment.
