Dad Sta-bbed Mom, Tossed 2-Year-Old Found in Alligator’s Mouth in Lake

In a devastating tragedy that unfolded in St. Petersburg, Florida, a heinous crime saw the alleged stabbing of Pashun Jeffrey, a 20-year-old mother, over 100 times by her lover and Taylen's father, Thomas Mosley. The horrifying details continued as Thomas, accused of this brutal act, reportedly threw his 2-year-old son, Taylen, into Lake Maggiore, where the toddler drowned and was later found in the mouth of an alligator.

The incident came to light when Theodosia Brookhouse-Salis, Pashun's best friend and cousin, arrived at Pashun's apartment on March 30, 2023, after being unable to contact her. The gruesome scene revealed bloodstains covering the front door and porch railing. A maintenance worker, alerted by Theo, discovered Pashun's lifeless body with over 100 stab wounds.

Despite the shock of Pashun's death, Theo's immediate concern turned to Taylen, who was missing from the apartment. An Amber Alert was issued in hopes of finding the toddler alive. The events leading up to this tragedy included Taylen and Pashun being last seen at a celebration for Thomas Mosley's 21st birthday, where he was notably absent from the crime scene.

Thomas, arriving at his mother's house later that evening with injuries consistent with a "knife slipping," refused to assist authorities in locating Taylen. The police discovered Taylen's lifeless body in an alligator's mouth at Lake Maggiore on March 31, determining drowning as the cause of death in a subsequent autopsy.

Thomas Mosley pleaded not guilty to the charges, including two first-degree murder counts, and the prosecution is pursuing the death penalty. In October 2023, Thomas's incapacity to stand trial was determined, and another competency hearing is scheduled for April 2024.

While incarcerated, Mosley reportedly told a visiting Medical Examiner that he "did not have a son." This chilling statement adds another layer to the already horrifying circumstances surrounding the case.

Pashun, a hardworking 20-year-old mother employed at CVS, aspired to become a medical assistant to provide a better life for Taylen. The 2-year-old celebrated his second birthday just two weeks before the tragic incident, enjoying a Hot Wheels-themed celebration surrounded by family and friends.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign was created to support Theo, who referred to Pashun as "like a sister." The campaign raised over $47,000, reflecting the community's overwhelming response to the grieving family's needs. Taylen's joyful spirit, as described by those close to him, serves as a poignant reminder of the profound loss experienced by those affected by this horrifying event. The legal proceedings, fundraising efforts, and the chilling statement from Thomas Mosley collectively paint a tragic picture of a family shattered by unspeakable violence.
