Mother of 4 shot in the face after planning to take the kids and move to Texas

In a tragic and disturbing turn of events, a family's plan to relocate from Massachusetts to Texas has been shattered by a brutal murder, leaving a mother dead and four children traumatized. The prime suspect in this horrific crime is Aaron Pennington, a 33-year-old man who is now the subject of a statewide manhunt, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

The victim, Breanne Pennington, 30, was found shot in the face at the couple's home on Cherry Street in Gardner, a medium-sized city located in Worcester County, Massachusetts. The grim discovery was made on a Sunday morning, with the four Pennington children inside the house at the time.

The authorities have issued a warning, describing Aaron Pennington as "armed and dangerous," urging the public to call 911 immediately if they see him or the vehicle he may be driving. Additionally, Pennington faces charges for unlawfully possessing a firearm without a license to carry.

The heart-wrenching account of the events leading to this tragedy reveals that the four Pennington children were present when their mother was killed. They had come to her house, frightened because they couldn't find their father, and found their mother crying in her bedroom. The children reported that their father's vehicle was no longer in the driveway. Responding officers discovered the victim in an upstairs bedroom, with shell casings recovered from the scene. Gardner Police and local prosecutors enlisted the help of state troopers in their investigation.

Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early expressed concern during a press conference, emphasizing the need for vigilance. He reassured the public that the children were safe, now in state custody.

The suspect, Aaron Pennington, is believed to be driving a white BMW 320 with a Massachusetts "Veteran" license plate (8A30). However, this plate may have been replaced with a Texas plate (DTZ3103) or a California plate (6CWN728).

The tragic incident appears to be rooted in marital discord that had been ongoing for some time. Witnesses close to the family indicated that Breanne Pennington had been planning to move to Texas with the children, a plan that Aaron Pennington did not accept. According to the complaint application, he had a history of mental health issues and had previously made suicide threats.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect leaving the driveway in the 2013 BMW 320 sedan at 8:50 a.m. Aaron Pennington is described as 6'2" tall, weighing around 175 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

In a heartbreaking twist, all four children are now in state custody, their lives forever altered by the tragic loss of their mother and the harrowing events they witnessed. Friends and acquaintances of Breanne Pennington have expressed their shock and grief, describing her as a dedicated mother and wife who was in the process of saving up money to leave an unhealthy relationship.

This devastating incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of addressing mental health issues and seeking help in times of distress, as well as the need to protect and support victims of domestic violence. The manhunt for Aaron Pennington continues, with law enforcement agencies working tirelessly to bring him to justice and provide closure to this grieving family and community.
