The last known sighting of Pashun and Taylen was at a 21st birthday party for Thomas Mosley, Pashun's lover and Taylen's father. Thomas, who lived with them, later surfaced at his mother's house that night with cuts and gashes on his arms and hands. Refusing to cooperate with authorities in locating Taylen, Thomas claimed his injuries were the result of a "knife slipping."
On March 31, Taylen's lifeless body was discovered inside an alligator's mouth at Lake Maggiore, approximately 10 miles from the apartment. An autopsy determined Taylen's cause of death as drowning.
